I wanted to stay away from all touristy places full of people when i planned my trip to Thailand this year. I wanted to experience the real Thailand, I heard about Peetim's Homestay through friends who told me it was one of their best experience in Thailand. Its diffult to explain you with words how i felt, but this was the REAL THAI experience that i was looking for. Peetim is one of the most amazing person i have ever met in my life. she is so kind, and always smiling! The place is simply amazing, you can hear frogs and tropical birds, the homestay is surrounded by rice fields, there s a cow that eats mangoes in the backyard, there s a house with an amazing rooftop and a dinner table to admire the sunset in the evening. There are many many activities to do. if you feel like just relaxing, you can see in the rocking chaire on this wooden balcony, with a view on a pond with beautiful waterlilies. Peetim can take you to see the monkey temple, the monkeys are so funny and jump on you. they are beautiful temples with bifg buddhas around the place. you can take a bike and simply go for a ride around the house. You can learn thai boxing everynight, and at the time i was there, they were building a real Muai Thai ring right in front of the house. you can have a traditionnal thai massage at the house... and there are so many other things to do. i was gonna stay only 3 days, but i stayed 10 in total!! i recommend anyone to go visit this place, or even volunteers to come over, as they are also some days, kids from the village come to the place and we can teach them english. AMAZING!! 🙂 Thank you so much PEETIM, ill be back next year hopefully!”

Even if you visit Thailand only for a couple of weeks, don't miss out on spending some days at Peetim Homestay. Peetim and the team are caring and warm people and you will be amazed of how beautiful the place they have built up is. The area is very nice with loads of nature that you can go explore on bike or motorbike (free) and the team takes you in great activities (fishing, Thai boxing events, monkey temple, bullriding and much more). I myself had the possibility to teach English to little monks. After that the head monk gave an introduction to meditation. It is a very rewarding experience that will fill you heart with happiness. We all from all different countries, but with same thinking of travelling/conquering the world.We all were very selfish to attend the Thai wedding but Luck stopped all of us to reach at the event on time. Nice Music theatre we created in the SUV we were driving to reach to wedding....Amazing Monkey Temple experience.Amazing down to earth people. Peetim Homestay is located in Singburi town, about 135 kilometers north of Bangkok, and has a beautiful view with fireflies lighting up the evening sky. We provide comfortable accommodation, as we offer air-conditioning, DVD player and selection of DVD movies, plus wireless internet connection that is available everywhere. We also have a music room, computer room and karaoke room that is available 24/7.
During the weekends and the holidays at Peetim Homestay, students and children within the area are invited to join English classes, wherein volunteers from all parts of the world teach them to develop their language skills.

About Peetim’s Volunteering Program in Singburi, Thailand:
If you are interested in volunteering with us, there are many schools around our Homestay which needs volunteers, wherein you will also teach young monks at orphanage schools, Agriculture College or at other local schools. All schools in Singburi welcomes volunteers with open arms while students of all ages here are grateful to receive English lessons, as well as cultural exchange from foreign teachers. After school, volunteers will also have an opportunity to visit unique and wonderful places in the beautiful province of Singburi.
The volunteers will have a There are variety of places volunteers can explore, such as amazing looking temples, big lying Buddha image in Wat Pranon (Singburi town), the famous monkey town (Lopburi) etc. If you rather want to spend your time in local Thai sports and fitness, you can try Muai Thai (kick boxing lessons are given by a local champion) or jogat yaga (taught by a monk). You can also learn Thai cooking, get Thai massage, you can also use one of the available bikes or scooters or even play football with the locals. There are lots of places and things to do and explore. Come and be a volunteer!
Working and living together with the locals is the best way of getting a deeper understanding of any culture, as Thai lifestyle is very different from your everyday life at home. Flexibility, as well as tolerance and patience, are needed to succeed as a foreign teacher. Experience teaching while having fun, and enjoy the thrill of exploring unique and wonderful places. At the end of your homestay, you will receive a certificate which states that you successfully completed an English Teaching Project in Thailand. The certification includes reading, writing and conversational skills at primary school level (five to twelve year olds), signed by the Director of the local primary school.
